There are many ways to choose a colour scheme for your wedding. You may already have a favourite colour, or flower that you want to feature. You may choose to go with the season of the year that your wedding is being held. But if you aren't sure, a great way to start is to head to the Pantone website. Here you will find a rainbow of colour inspiration. Every year they choose a colour of the year. For 2022 it's Very Peri. Described by Pantone as "Encompassing the qualities of the blues, yet at the same time possessing a violet-red undertone, PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression."
This is a bold colour and you may want to think carefully how you can incorporate it into your day, however it is a really pretty colour and could be used at any time of the year.

Flowers
There are some obvious choices when it comes to flowers.
Lavender can look stunningly sophisticated on it's own or as part of a bouquet and as added bonus it has a wonderful fragrance. It is known as a symbol of peace and tranquility. Dried Lavender is widely available and can be used all year round. And artificial lavender is very realistic looking.
Thistles are great accent flowers too. They look beautiful paired with white flowers such as roses. There is something very masculine about a thistle buttonhole, so this is one that the chaps may prefer.
